1. Information We Collect

Todogs collects the following information:

Account information: name and email address provided when signing in with Google
Dog photos: photos taken with the camera when capturing a dog are stored on our servers to display in your collection
Am I a Dog? mini-game photos: photos taken inside the Am I a Dog? mini-game are processed locally on your device and are not stored on our servers (see section 4b)
Usage data: information about breeds captured, detection accuracy, and general app usage to improve the service
Payment information: subscriptions are processed through Google Play or the App Store. Todogs does not store credit card details

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

Display and sync your breed collection across devices
Process and verify Todogs Plus subscriptions
Improve the accuracy of the breed recognition model
Send you relevant app notifications if you have authorized them

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except:

Google Firebase: for dog photo storage and usage analytics
Google Play / App Store: for payment processing
When required by law

Photos taken in the Am I a Dog? mini-game are never automatically shared with Todogs or any third party. Only you decide whether to share them.

4. Camera and Photos

4a. Breed Recognition

Todogs requires camera access to detect dog breeds in real time. Photos taken when capturing a dog are saved to your personal collection on our servers. We do not access your existing photo gallery.

4b. Am I a Dog? Mini-Game

The Am I a Dog? mini-game lets you take a photo of yourself to find out which dog breed you resemble. This feature is designed with your privacy in mind:

On-device only: The photo is taken directly from your camera and processed locally on your device to generate the mini-game result.
No server storage: The photo taken in Am I a Dog? is never sent to Todogs servers or to any third party.
No secondary use: Todogs does not use this photo to train models, analyze you, identify you, or for any purpose other than showing you the mini-game result.
Sharing is your choice: Only you decide whether to share the result on social media or other platforms. Todogs may generate a shareable result image, but sharing always requires your explicit action.
No retention: Todogs does not retain any copy of the photo taken in the mini-game once you close or leave that screen.

Summary: the photo you take in Am I a Dog? belongs to you and only you. No one at Todogs sees it, stores it, or shares it without your explicit decision.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you have an active Todogs account. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address listed at the end of this document.

Am I a Dog? mini-game photos are not stored on our servers and therefore are not subject to any data deletion request.

6. Security

We protect your information using encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure storage services. However, no system is 100% secure.

7. Children

Todogs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The Am I a Dog? mini-game requests access to the front-facing camera solely to generate the mini-game result. If you are under 13, please do not use this feature.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you within the app if there are significant changes.
